Louisa CART is an IRS 501(c)3 non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, recovery, and sheltering of animals during federal, state and local emergencies.  Our volunteers have dedicated hundreds of thousands of man-hours responding to calls for assistance to provide emergency sheltering for animals who are victims of abuse, cruelty, hording and natural disasters.  We are self-supporting and provide our own equipment and supplies through grants and donations.  We have no paid staff.
